Director of Sonic The Hedgehog Film: 'Sonic Design Will Be Changed'

UPDATIFY NETWORK - Jeff Fowler, director of 'Paramount Pictures' film Sonic the Hedgehog, posted a Tweet on Thursday, where he noted criticism for the design of Sonic characters in the trailer recently revealed for the film, and said that the design will change along with criticism. He added that Paramount Pictures and Sega "were fully committed to making this character as good as he could."

Advertising agency Hamagami / Carroll, Inc. briefly revealed the design for titular characters in March.

Executive producer Tim Miller previously discussed Sonic feathers, which differed from fur thorns on real world porcupines. Miller said, "It would be strange and it would feel like he was running around naked if he was some kind of beaver thing. It was always, for us, fur, and we never considered anything different. It was part of what integrated him into the real world make it a real creature. "

Producer Neal Moritz said about character shoes, "We see every variation that is different from what shoes they wear and we try to pay homage to those shoes and also make them today and now in what we think Sonic will wear today."

Paramount Pictures announced last August that they moved the opening date of the film from November 15, 2019 to November 8, 2019 in the United States. The film will open in Australia on November 28, 2019 and in the UK on December 26, 2019. The title of this film in Japan is Sonic The Movie, and the opening date in Japan for this film will be announced "soon."
